Information for Current Members | Officers
We elect officers once a year in October. Nominations for open positions must be submitted in time to be posted on the listserv, printed in the newsletter or otherwise circulated before voting takes place. As of this year, the Vice President is also the President-Elect, who is expected to run for President, and therefore, essentially serves a two-year term. Because of the more complicated nature of the Treasurer's job, the person filling the position is expected to serve at least a two-year term; to be voted on annually. The Secretary serves a one-year, renewable term. "Deadwood" is comprised of all who have served as President. Board Members are two positions filled by two people who have been an active part of the group, and can help guide newer positions in the fulfillment of their duties. The only qualification to be an officer is that a person be a dues-paying member.
